New Library Card Offers One-Time Amnesty
Sign up for a new Austin Public Library Star Card and return overdue items without penalty on a one-time basis. The amnesty is offered during 2001 as part of the Library's 75th Anniversary Jubilee Celebration to increase awareness of the Library's many excellent programs and selection of almost two million books and periodicals. Apply for a new card at any of the 21 Austin Public Library locations. Amnesty does not apply to delinquencies that have been referred to the Law Department. Library Hours: Mon-Thu, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Fri & Sat, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, Noon - 6:00 p.m. at Central and History Center, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Carver, Little Walnut and Manchaca.
