The Rockdale Junior High School serves 395 students in grades 6 through 8 with programs include Gifted and Talented, ESL, Special Education, Dyslexia, Summer School, and UIL Literary Events.

Parents involvement is encouraged. A VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) Organization, the PTO (Parents, Teachers Organization) and a Parent Liaison are available on the campus. Two scheduled parent conferences are held each year during a student release day.

Rockdale Junior High stresses academics with 30 Teachers, 6 Paraprofessional, and 14 Support Staff working to provide the finest education for the city's young minds.
