Rockdale High School is a size 3A campus with a current enrollment of 515 students. Our school has received "recognized" status from the Texas Education Agency since 1993-94 and the campus earned an "exemplary" ratingfor the 1997-98 school year. We offer a traditional academic progarm which is enriced with Pre-AP and AP courses in english and Math. Our CATE (career and technology) offerings include selections from home economics, agricultural science and business. Students are encouraged to complete the Recommended or the Distinguished Achievement Program (DAP) for graduation. Extracurricular activities include a variety of campus organizations, athletics, band, drill team, drama, etc. All students are encouraged to be involved in extracurricular activities. Recently, students have particpated in state and/or national competitions in FFA, FHA, Band, BPA, TAFE, Science Fair, and students academic goals, traditional personal values, and high expectations. We welcome parent involvement and use two partent-teacher conference days each year to improve communications. RHS wants students and parents to feel that they are active memebers of our team and share Tiger Pride in all endeavors.
