April 2004
Dear Classmates:
As you have noticed there has not been much activity on our web-site. This neglect
is entirely my fault. I want to do a lot of things these days but neither my mind or
body will cooperate in getting anything accomplished. I think a lot of you good
people know how I feel!
My wife, Becky Sue, and I attended the Class monthly luncheon today, Wednesday April 7,
2004 and at Luby's Cafeteria on 71st St. and we had 13 present. Had a great
time and each time I get together with people from our Class I am really honored to have
been part of such a fine group of people. I think we had the best people during that
time period in the 40s don't you?
Ruth (Harvey) Kirpatrick and Jeannie )Redden) Paul have been working on having a reunion
sometime in September 2005. Still well in the planning stages but more info will be
in the next Class newsletter. We are really blessed having people like Ruth and
Jeannie (and others) who bring everything together at our reunions!!
A lot of our Classmates are ill and cannot attend the get-to-gathers on a regular basis
but come whenever they can. Our former Chairperson Jo Ann (Perry) Huffman and her
husband Bill are very, very ill and cannot attend at all. Please keep them and all
others who are ill in your prayers.
Those attending the Luncheon were: Ruth (Harvey) and John Kirkpatrick, (Ruth and
John drive from up around Grove, OK on Grand Lake), Riley and Becky Sue Foyil, Virgie
(Bittle) Tucker, Jerry and Donna Carman, Nancy (Thornburgh) Stewart, Patty Borofsky,
(Patty comes from Rogers, Arkansas just about every month), Beverly Gilbert, Bob and
Dorothy Hensley, and Jeannie (Redden) Paul.
Special Greetings, from the Tulsa Bunch, to all who read this update to our web-site.
We think the Class of 43 is a wonderful bunch of people!!!!!
Sincerely:
Riley Foyil
