Animal Trustees of Austin is a volunteer organization that rescues pets who are about to be euthanized at the municipal shelter. ATA also operates a low-cost, non-profit Spay/Neuter clinic to help address the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

A non-profit organization whose charter is to render aid to wild animals who are sick, injured, or orphaned, and to release them back into the wild once they are well.

Is dedicated to providing and promoting humane treatment of animals while protecting the public health by managing the domestic animal population.

Humane Society of Austin and Travis County, Inc.
Services provided include re-homing of previously owned cats and dogs, cat and dog adoptions, humane education, cruelty prevention, volunteer opportunities, obedience training, pet loss support, community outreach, gift shop, and a cat neuter rebate program. A non-euthanasia facility.

If you know Austin, you know our bats. Every summer a colony of nearly 1.5 million Mexican Freetail bats come to roost under the Congress Avenue bridge over Town Lake. It is the largest known urban bat colony in the world.
