- AIR Austin - Knowability
- Knowability is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide access to educational and employment opportunities in information technology (IT) to people with disabilities and other employment barriers. Further it provides training and consulting to high tech employers and other businesses that use IT and the Internet to help them make their products and services more accessible on-line.
- The Arc of the Capital Area
- Founded by parents who were concerned about the exclusion of their children with mental retardation from public schools. Also assists individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages and their families to realize all rights and opportunities for full participation as members of the community.
- Any Baby Can of Austin
- To enhance the lives of children with disabilities or other special health care needs: ABC works to ensure that "Any Baby Can reach maximum potential".
- Austin Area Branch Orton Dyslexia Society
- Provide information, sponsor conferences, and refer people to various individuals and agencies which provide services in their own communities.
- Austin Area Human Services Association (AAHSA)
- The site will contain links to services for local families. Some members are ATC/MHMR, Lifeworks, Easter Seals,Austin Academy, Child Guidance Center, HIV Wellness Center, Any Baby Can, ARC (Assoc. for Retarded Citizens) to name a few.
- Austin -Travis County MHMR
- Coordinating an intergrated array of quality community-based services; Addressing the needs and requests of people whose lives are affected by mental disabilities, substance abuse, and children's developmental delays and emotional problems; and Building on the inherent strengths of consumers, families, staff, and community.
- Capital Metro Special Transit Services
- The program has strived to meet the ever growing and changing transportation needs of a significant number of transit passengers with disabilities. The goal of STS is to provide door-through-door, shared ride, accessible public transportation to passengers with disabilities.
- Community Options Inc., of Texas
- A nonprofit agency dedicated to developing residential and employment supports for people with disabilities utilizing technology and training.
- Deaf Women of Austin
- Easter Seals - Capitol Area
- The Easter Seal Society is the Nation's oldest and largest health agency providing direct services to people with disabilities.
- Mary Lee Foundation
- To provide diverse programs to persons with special needs to help them become more productive and independent.
- Mindseye Foundation
- Our mission is to provide educational technology for low vision, visually impaired, hearing impaired or blind children who are mainstreamed into the educational environment, for the purpose of assisting the children in achieving their full potential.
- National Depressive Manic-Depressive Association (DMDA/Austin-Area)
- This support group's primary purpose is to provide self-help to depressives, manic-depressives and their families
- Project Transitions
- Dedicated to the provision of supportive living services and hospice care for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
- Texas Association of the Deaf
- An organization for persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. It is a membership organization to provide information and education including surveys and studies to bring the viewpoint on various issues affecting the lives who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at all levels of the community.
- Texas Assistive Technology Partnership (TATP)
- TATP and its counterparts in other states to conduct policy level advocacy and other broad reaching activities that will reduce systemic barriers and make assistive technology more accessible.
- Texas Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Consortium
- Sponsored by the Texas Office for the Prevention of Developmental Disabilities (TOPDD) in collaboration with the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC) of Texas, and the Texas Department of Health (TDH). The Consortium was assembled by TOPDD in response to recent research and review that indicate increasing numbers of women drinking alcohol.
- Texas Veterans' Commission
- a State agency that was created to serve the needs of our StateÕs veterans. Commission personnel assist veterans, their dependents and survivors in filing claims for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) compensation, pension, death benefits, educational assistance, home loans, insurance, hospitalization and outpatient care, as well as numerous other benefits and privileges.

- Providing quality, individualized, community-based services for children and adults with disabilities.
- UT-Austin University Affiliated Program
- To increase the independence, productivity, and integration of people with developmental disabilities into all levels of community life through a coordinated program of interdisciplinary training, service delivery, technical assistance, applied research, and information dissemination.
- The Volunteer Council for the Austin State School
- A residential training center for adults with mental retardation, situated at West 35th Street and Mo-Pac. The individuals who reside and train there have multiple disabilities or severe developmental disabilities. Volunteers can help increase residents' social skills and self-esteem. Some volunteers assist in raising funds to benefit the residents' recreation fund.
