Offers $300 Stipend for one UT iSchool Student to attend
TLA 2006 in Houston
| The El Corazón de Tejas Central Texas Chapter of REFORMA will offer
a $300 stipend to be awarded to a University of Texas at Austin graduate
iSchool student to attend the Texas Library Association Annual Conference
in Houston April 25-28, 2006.
UT iSchool students wishing to apply may be full or part-time students and must be a member of REFORMA. REFORMA memberships for first-time student members are FREE and $5 for returning student members. The membership application is available online. http://www.main.org/reforma/membership.html Students who are interested in applying for the stipend should send an email request to Joanna Nigrelli, President of El Corazón de Tejas. Please indicate the date the application was mailed to our P.O. Box in Austin in the email. The deadline for applications will be Friday, February 10 at 5:00 p.m. All names will be entered into a drawing that will take place on Monday, February 13. The chosen student will be contacted immediately afterwards. The stipend winner will be required to make a presentation about their experience at TLA 2006 to El Corazón de Tejas during our May meeting.
