Neighborhood Association board minutes

The Board of Directors meeting of the North Park Estates Neighborhood Association included:  Members present

Board meeting was held at Amsler’s home Tuesday March 22, 2005.  Attendance indicated above.  

 

The President, David Nuhn, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

 

 

Call to Order/Introductions

1. Treasurer reported balance of $1,413.11 within that amount is flower fund of $260, Entrance Sign fund of $330.  Balance general fund is 823.11.
2. Signs
1. Sign Committee reported on status of plan to replace North Park Estates entrance signs and submitted graphic of proposed signs, including the words “North Park Estates” with image of oak tree. Both lettering and image is proposed as metal that are to be  attached to blocks similar to those used by Oracle, whose lot is adjacent to entrance sign.  Volunteers will be requested when construction is underway to assist in the construction.  Volunteers may help to lower the total cost now estimated between $2600 and $3500.  
2. Work to be done is to obtain engineer’s approval, city approval, and the raising of funds.
3. Concept of personalized bricks for special donations will be followed up and sign committee will report to general membership at the annual meeting scheduled for May 14, 2005.
3. Neighborhood Cleanup.  Discussion on neighborhood cleanup, with focus on Park Lane entrance.  Larie Amsler will contact city office with request to clean up the city street right of way.
4. Annual meeting planning. 
1. Dale Sellers is chairman of annual meeting planning committee for identifying location for the meeting.  Motion to spend up to $100 for picnic was made, seconded, and approved.
2. Slate of new officers for year starting in October will be presented by membes at large at the general meeting.  Officer’s who have served two terms in their current position, based on by-laws must be replaced. 
5. Jessica Currie will publish newsletter including annual meeting agenda and report on entrance signs.

 

6. Motion made to adjourn was seconded and passed.
