North Park Estates

Neighborhood Assoc.

 

The Board of Directors meeting of the North Park Estates Neighborhood Association was held at the home of Maria Mayer on January 28, 2003. In attendance were:  Jessica Currie, Larie and Sam Amsler, AJ, David Nuhn, Ed Peterson, Carol Fritz and Maria Mayer.  The President, Jessica Currie, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

 

1.                 VP Position-It was agreed to talk to Margaret about her position on the Board since she has not been able to participate in the past few months.

 

2.                 Treasurer’s Report – Larie reported that the mailbox rent was paid in November 2002.  The current balance is $1,140.02.  There was discussion about the interest earned during the year and how could affect Larie’s personal tax return. Motion by AJ to accept the Treasurer’s report.  Fritz seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

 

3.                 Last meeting’s minutes posted on the Association’s website.  Everyone reviewed them.  Motion by Larie to accept the minutes as written.  AJ seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

 

4.                 Jessica reported that the Brentwood Church has requested a revision of the zoning.  They would like to add a classroom and re-route a driveway running along the creek.  Two residents from Eubank presented their written objections.  There was discussion about the relationship between the school and the neighborhood over the years.  Motion by David Nuhn to write a letter to the City and second letter to the church addressing our concerns and submitting our ideas.   Larie seconded the motion.  Motion passed.  Carol requested copies of the letters for her personal records.

 

5.                 Jessica received correspondence informing us about the zoning of vacant lot on Braker by the school.  There are plans for a credit union and offices.  Motion by AJ to contact the legal firm requesting more information.  Fritz seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

 

6.                 It was decided that all future Board meetings would take place the last Tuesday of every other month  at 6:30 p.m (except for the month of May).  Next meeting will be March 25 at David Nuhn’s – 11501 Silsbury

 

7.                 The picnic and annual meeting will take place on May 17, same location as last year’s.  It was agreed to have the newsletter out by May 1^st announcing the meeting and providing an agenda to inform people that the neighborhood entrance signs will be discussed.

 

8.                 Newsletter delivery assignments: 

Jessica – Titan, Eubank (up to the new house), Gemini Lane, and south of North Bend

Larie – Apollo, Space, Circle Bend, and North Bend to Austin Park

Carol – Silsbury and Huntridge

Dale – Minda and Eubank (from the new house)

Maria – Rebecca

 

9.                 More discussion about the entrance signs. Thanks to Ed and AJ one of the stone entrance sings look great.  They could only reach one with their power washer. 

 

Motion by AJ to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.  Larie seconded the motion.  Motion passed.
