The Flag Ceremony began at 11 A.M.
The rains may have kept some of the folks away this year, but the weather ended up

The name of each veteran buried at the Mahomet Cemetery was then read by Barbara Drosche.
Family members and friends placed an American flag in the flag holder on each
veteran's grave. Our thanks to each of the volunteers who donated their time and effort to
clean, cut and trim the cemetery. It looked very manicured this year. Some said it looked as good as
it did back when Alvin Clark kept it. |

The business meeting was held before lunch.
Eldon Williams, President of the Mahomet Cemetery Association conducted the meeting.
Barbara Drosche, Secretary/Treasurer
read last year's business meeting minutes and presented the financial statement.
The terms for one of the directors expired this year. Louis Insall was re-elected
for another term. |

A Barbecue meal was available for lunch. Special thanks to those who provided
the wonderful desserts. Thanks also to the folks who brought their musical instruments.
The music added a few smiles in the crowd. Who knows, the music may be a new tradition! |
