Always lock your car when entering or leaving it.

Park in well-lit busy areas and check your car's interior and surroundings before entering or leaving.

Don't advertise that you are a tourist.  Keep your maps and travel brochures in the glove compartments.

If you become lost, drive to  public place to check the map.  Don't stop along a street or highway.
