CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

 

The Central Texas Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (Centex ASPA) opened their annual call for nominations for public service recognition at the February 28 board meeting.  The annual awards recognize outstanding contributions in the research, practice and teaching of public administration.  Nominations may be made for the following categories: 

 

­      Elected Public Official

­      Public Administration Professor

­      Public Administrator

­      James W. McGrew Public Policy Research Awards for Students and Professionals 

 

Nominations must be received by Thursday, April 12.

 

Previous recipients include:

 

­      Honorable Ronald Earle, Travis County District Attorney

­      Honorable Kirk Watson, City of Austin Mayor

­      Larry Gilley, San Marcos City Manager

­      Gary Chapman, LBJ School Public Affairs 

­      Dozens of students and professionals for outstanding public policy research projects ranging from the coastal erosion to citizen participation in local government decision making

 

 

The 2001 Awards Nomination form is attached as a separate document.  Supporting materials are required for each category.  Completed nominations and attachments must be received by Thursday, April 12 addressed to the following individuals.
